Hello everyone! This time, the dish I'd like to share is a stir-fried tofu sheet with vegetables recipe.
Ingredients
- 4 pieces of tofu sheets (cut into 2 cm cube-shaped pieces)
- 1 head of broccoli (cut into medium-sized pieces)
- 75 grams of mushrooms (thinly sliced)
- 2 cloves of garlic (thinly sliced) and 1 stalk of spring onion (thinly sliced)
- 1 piece of ginger, about 1 inch across (thinly sliced)
- Half a carrot (cut into 2 cm cube-shaped pieces)
- 4 tablespoons of oyster sauce and 2 tablespoons of fish sauce
- 1 tablespoon of corn starch
- 2 tablespoons of cooking oil
- 1 and a half teaspoons of sugar, salt and a little water
Step-by-step instructions
1. In a large bowl, combine the tofu sheet pieces, 4 tablespoons of oyster sauce, 2 tablespoons of clear fish sauce, half a teaspoon of salt and half a teaspoon of sugar, and knead/mix thoroughly. Then let it marinate for about 10 to 20 minutes.
2. Heat a pot of water until boiling. Once the water is boiling vigorously, add the carrot pieces and boil for about 2 to 3 minutes. Once done, remove the carrots and rinse them with cold water.
Blanch the broccoli the same way, then rinse it with cold water as well.
3. Heat a wok and add 2 tablespoons of oil. Once the oil is hot, stir-fry the garlic and ginger for about 1 minute. Then add the tofu sheets and mushrooms, and stir-fry for about 3 minutes.
4. Next, mix 1 teaspoon of corn starch with 1 tablespoon of water until well combined, then pour it into the wok. Keep stirring continuously until the corn starch mixture thickens.
5. Then add the carrots and broccoli into the wok and stir-fry thoroughly to combine. Once done, add salt and taste for seasoning, adjusting for a mild saltiness.
And there you have it—a delicious stir-fried tofu sheet with vegetables dish!
