I wonder how many Foodies out there feel like rice isn't satisfying unless it comes with something spicy every time they eat? As for the writer, eating 7 or 8 chili peppers with every meal is just a normal thing.
For Foodies like the writer who love things extra spicy and tangy, this time we'd like to share a recipe for pan-fried chili peppers. Instead of just biting into whole chili peppers, turning them into a step-up side dish will definitely taste even more delicious.
Ingredients
• 6 fresh green chili peppers
• 1 tablespoon oil
• 4 cloves garlic (sliced thinly)
• 1 tablespoon fish sauce and half a tablespoon sugar
• 1 tablespoon rice vinegar and 2 tablespoons water
Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Wash the chili peppers, then cut off the stem ends with a knife.
2. Press down on each chili pepper with the handle of a knife to flatten it slightly.
3. Then, pat the chili peppers dry with a clean cloth.
4. In a small bowl, combine the garlic, fish sauce, rice vinegar, sugar, and water, and mix well.
5. Heat the wok, add the oil, and once the oil is hot, add the chili peppers and fry for about 3 minutes.
6. Then pour in the sauce mixture prepared earlier into the pot, and stir-fry for about 2 to 3 minutes until the sauce reduces and dries up.
7. Transfer the fried chili peppers to a plate. Now you can enjoy it as a delicious side dish along with rice and meat curries.
