Just as fish paste sauce is an essential part of a Myanmar dining table, kimchi is an indispensable side dish for Korean people. This time, I'd like to share a recipe for kimchi fried pork belly for food lovers who enjoy Korean cuisine.

Ingredients

  • Kimchi 0.5 lb
  • Half an onion (thinly sliced)
  • 1 tablespoon of oil and half a tablespoon of sesame oil
  • About a handful of sesame seeds
  • 1 tablespoon of chili paste

  • Pork belly 0.5 lb (thinly sliced)
  • 1 tablespoon of fish sauce
  • Half a teaspoon of sugar

Step-by-step instructions

1. Mix the pork with chili paste, fish sauce, and sugar until well combined, then marinate for about 10 minutes.

2. Heat the pot and add the oil. Once the oil is hot, add the onion and sauté for about 3 minutes.

3. Once the onion turns golden brown, add the pork belly and fry for about 3 to 4 minutes.

4. Then add the kimchi and continue frying for about 2 more minutes.

Now your kimchi fried pork belly is ready. Transfer it to a plate and drizzle with sesame oil. Then sprinkle with sesame seeds. You can now enjoy it deliciously together with rice.
