The pork patty recipe we're featuring today can be paired as a meat patty when making burgers, and can also be enjoyed as a snack. If you eat it with rice, it tastes even better when topped with a bit of mushroom sauce.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb pork (finely minced)
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder and 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper powder
  • 3 tablespoons breadcrumbs

  • 1 egg (chicken or duck egg)

Ingredients needed to make the mushroom sauce

  • 1 chicken bouillon cube
  • 4 oz mushrooms (thinly sliced)
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 4 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 36 tablespoons water

Step-by-step instructions

1. In a large bowl, add the finely minced pork, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper powder, and 1 egg, then mix thoroughly until well combined. After that, add the breadcrumbs and knead again until evenly mixed.

2. Take about 5 tablespoons of the resulting pork mixture and shape it into a ball. Then flatten it between both palms to form a patty.

3. Heat a pan and add 2 tablespoons of oil. Add the pork patties, cover, and fry for about 4 minutes. Once 4 minutes are up, flip to the other side and fry for another 2 minutes. Add 4 tablespoons of water, cover, and simmer for about 3 minutes.

Place the resulting fried pork patty onto a plate. Fry the remaining pork patties in the same way.

4. The next step is to make the mushroom sauce.

Heat a pan and add the butter. Once the butter has melted, add the mushrooms. Stir-fry for 30 seconds, then add the flour little by little and fry over low heat for about 10 to 12 minutes.

5. Then, pour in the water little by little, stirring until it becomes a thick liquid.

6. Once the mushroom sauce starts to boil, add the chicken bouillon cube and stir until it dissolves.

7. Pour the resulting mushroom sauce over the fried pork patties. And there you have it — a delicious mushroom sauce pork patty!
