Hello everyone! This time, I'd like to share a recipe for beef-stuffed potato pancakes that can be enjoyed as breakfast or as a snack.

Ingredients

  • 4 large potatoes (peeled)
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cloves garlic (thinly sliced)
  • 1/2 onion (thinly sliced)
  • 4 tablespoons wheat flour
  • About 0.5 lb beef (finely sliced)
  • 4 tablespoons olive oil
  • A little salt
  • A little ground pepper
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons sour cream

Step-by-step instructions

Grate the peeled potatoes using a grater. Once you have grated potato pulp, squeeze out the excess liquid.

Add the egg and flour into the grated potato, then add a little salt and knead well until evenly combined.

Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a medium-sized pan. Add the onion and garlic and sauté for about 2 minutes. Add the finely sliced beef and fry until the beef is cooked through.

Next, heat another pan and add 2 tablespoons of oil. Once the oil is hot, add about 1.5 tablespoons of the grated potato mixture into the pan and press it down slightly. Then place about 1.5 tablespoons of the cooked beef on top of the potato pancake. Spread the beef out from the center toward the edges of the pancake.

After that, add another 1.5 tablespoons of the potato mixture on top of the beef, then spread it out toward the edges to cover the beef completely. Once the potatoes turn golden brown, flip to the other side and continue frying. Fry each side for about 5 minutes.

Once ready, let the beef-stuffed potato pancakes cool slightly, then serve with sour cream or tomato salsa as a dipping accompaniment.
