  • 3 large potatoes (peeled)
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 onion
  • 2 1/3 cups mushrooms
  • 3 tablespoons wheat flour
  • 4 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt
  • Black pepper
  • Cream (for serving)

Step-by-Step Instructions

Put the peeled potatoes into a food processor and grind them into shreds. Alternatively, you can grate them using a grater.

Put the potatoes into a bowl and squeeze out the liquid.

Heat a pan over medium heat, add 1 tablespoon of oil, and let it heat up. Add the thinly sliced onion and fry it. Then add the mushrooms and fry them as well.

Add the fried mushrooms into the potato bowl. Crack in one egg and mix evenly. Then add the wheat flour and mix again.

In a large pan, add 2 tablespoons of oil and set the heat to medium. Then take small amounts of the potato mixture with your hand and place them in the pan to fry. Once in the pan, press down gently with a flat spatula.

Fry each side for about 5 minutes, and once the potato pancakes turn golden brown, transfer them onto a plate.

Let the potato pancakes cool, then serve them with cream or a sauce of your choice, according to your preference.
