The chicken julienne dish featured today is a popular and famous dish in Russia and its restaurants. Russians usually enjoy this dish first as an appetizer before their meal to stimulate their appetite.
If MyFood Myanmar's foodies prepare and try this dish at home, they will surely love it too.
Ingredients
- Half of a boneless chicken breast
- About 2/3 of a bowl of mushrooms
- Half an onion (thinly sliced)
- About one bowl of cheese, cut into strips
- 2 tablespoons of cream
- About 2/3 of a cup of milk
- 2 tablespoons of butter
- 2 tablespoons of wheat flour
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- About half a teaspoon of chopped coriander leaves
- A little salt
- A little ground black pepper
Step-by-step Instructions
Cut the chicken into pieces about one inch each. Slice the mushrooms crosswise as well, and thinly slice the onion.
Add one tablespoon of olive oil to a pot with a handle and heat it. Then add the chicken and fry for about 5 minutes. Add the onion and fry for about 2 minutes. Add the mushrooms along with a little salt and ground black pepper, and fry for about 10 minutes.
To prepare the creamy sauce, put 2 tablespoons of butter into a small pot and melt it. Add the wheat flour and stir. Then add the milk little by little, stirring each time. If you pour it all in at once, it will form lumps. Once all the milk has been added, add the cream along with a little salt and ground black pepper, and stir well.
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Divide the fried chicken and mushrooms evenly into four ramekin bowls.
Pour the previously prepared creamy sauce into the bowls.
Then divide the cheese strips evenly on top and place them in the oven for about 15 minutes.
Once the time is up, take it out of the oven, add coriander leaves, and it's ready to serve. Those who don't like coriander leaves can enjoy it without adding them.
