For those who love pudding, this time I'd like to share a recipe for sago agar jelly pudding. It's easy to make and is a dessert you can make yourself at home with just about 6 ingredients.
Ingredients
- 1 packet agar (jelly) powder
- 2 cups hot water (32 tablespoons)
- Half a small bowl of sago pearls
- 2 cups cow's milk (32 tablespoons)
- 5 tablespoons sugar
- 1 tablespoon Agar Agar powder
Step-by-step method
1. As the first step, you need to make the multi-colored agar jelly.
Dissolve 1 packet of agar powder into about 32 tablespoons of hot water. After stirring until well combined, divide it equally into three heat-resistant containers. Then mix in your favorite colors. Once done, place them in the refrigerator to cool.
2. Pour water into a pot and bring it to a rolling boil. Then add the sago pearls and boil them. You need to boil until the sago pearls turn translucent.
3. Once the sago is done boiling, strain the sago pearls with a strainer. Rinse the collected sago pearls with cold water about 2 times.
4. Once the agar jellies have set, cut them into small cubes. Then mix the multi-colored agar jelly cubes together in one large container.
5. Pour the cow's milk into a saucepan. Add the sugar and agar powder, then stir well until combined. Then heat it on the stove over medium heat. You need to stir continuously.
Once the milk starts boiling, remove it from the stove and let it cool. Keep stirring continuously while it cools as well.
6. Next, add the sago pearls into the milk mixture and stir well until combined.
7. Pour the resulting milk-sago mixture into the container with the agar jelly cubes. Then use a spoon to stir so that the mixture is evenly distributed and the agar jelly cubes don't stick to the bottom.
Once done, cover the container tightly and place it in the refrigerator to chill for about 4 hours.
8. Once the set time is up and it has become nicely firm and set, you now have a delicious sago agar jelly pudding ready to enjoy.
