Hello everyone! Fried meatballs stuffed with boiled eggs are a traditional dish that the Scottish people have long enjoyed eating. Later on, the Japanese adapted it and began cooking it in Japanese style.
The recipe I'd like to share in this article is for fried boiled-egg meatballs that can be cooked in Japanese style.
Ingredients
• 130 grams finely minced pork and beef
• A pinch of salt and ground black pepper
• Tomato sauce
• A little bread crumbs
• 2 boiled eggs and 2 raw eggs (beaten)
• 30 grams cabbage (finely shredded)
• A little flour
• Water and oil
Step-by-step preparation
1. Mix half of the beaten egg thoroughly with the bread crumbs. (Leave a little bread crumbs aside for later)
2. Mix the remaining half of the beaten egg with water and a little flour, stirring until it becomes a thick batter.
3. Put the minced pork and beef into a bowl, then knead thoroughly with the salt, ground black pepper, and tomato sauce.
4. Pour the shredded cabbage and the bread-crumb-and-egg mixture into the bowl of meat, and knead thoroughly.
5. Shape the resulting meat mixture into a round form, place a boiled egg right in the center, then wrap the meat around the egg to form a ball.
6. Coat the egg-stuffed meatball in the flour-and-egg batter, then coat it again with the bread crumbs. Then deep-fry it in hot oil until golden brown.
Now you can enjoy this delicious egg-stuffed fried meatball, served with your favorite tangy sauce.
