Ingredients

  • 5 grams dried seaweed
  • 950 ml chicken broth
  • 235 ml water
  • 5 grams dried shrimp (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon sesame oil

  • 1/4 teaspoon ground white pepper
  • 2 eggs (beaten)
  • 1 stalk spring onion (thinly sliced)

Step-by-step instructions

1. Heat a pot, add the seaweed, and heat each side for one minute. Then take it out and set it aside on a plate.

2. Add the chicken broth and water to the pot and bring to a boil.

3. Once it boils, add the dried shrimp (if using), sesame oil, ground white pepper, and the seaweed that was toasted earlier, then let it come back to a boil.

4. Once the soup is boiling, add the beaten eggs. Then add the thinly sliced spring onions. Stir with a spoon and let it boil again.

When the soup is boiling, taste it and adjust the seasoning as needed.

Finally, you now have a delicious and complete bowl of egg seaweed soup.
