  • Honey 6 tablespoons
  • Onion, half (thinly sliced into strips)
  • Rice wine 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic 5 cloves (thinly sliced)

Step-by-step preparation

1. Cut the chicken into moderate-sized pieces and soak in milk for about 30 minutes.

2. Peel the potatoes and cut each in half.

3. In a bowl, combine 10 tablespoons of soy sauce, 4 tablespoons of chili flakes, 2 tablespoons of chili powder, 6 tablespoons of honey, the onion, rice wine, garlic, and black pepper powder, and mix well until combined.

4. Once the chicken has finished marinating for 30 minutes, remove it and rinse with water.

5. Then place the chicken into a large pot. Add 2 cups of water. Pour in the sauce mixture from step (3) and bring to a boil over high heat.

6. Once it comes to a boil, add the potatoes, reduce the heat, and simmer for about 30 minutes. (Stir well every 15 minutes.)

7. After 30 minutes, add the carrot, onion, and green chilies, and simmer until the carrots soften (about 10 minutes).

Once all these steps are complete, you'll have a delicious Korean-style spicy potato chicken curry ready to enjoy.
