Hello everyone! Don't you want to easily fry delicious shrimp dumplings at home by yourself?
Ingredients
- Thinly sliced cabbage - 1 bowl
- Salt - 1/4 teaspoon
- 4 stalks of spring onion and 2 cloves of garlic
- 1/2 lb shrimp and 1 tablespoon dried shrimp
- Fish sauce - 1/2 teaspoon
- Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon and sugar - 1/2 teaspoon
- Rice flour - 1/2 tablespoon
- Ground pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- 18 round wonton/dumpling wrappers
- Cooking oil - 1 tablespoon and water - about 8 tablespoons
Step-by-step instructions
1. Put the cabbage into a large bowl, add 1/2 teaspoon of salt, and mix well evenly. Leave it for 15 minutes.
2. Squeeze the cabbage to drain out the liquid, then put it back into the bowl.
3. Into that bowl, add the spring onion, garlic, shrimp, fish sauce, sesame oil, sugar, rice flour, salt, and ground pepper, then mix everything together evenly.
4. Spread out the 18 round dumpling wrappers on a flat surface.
5. Take about 1 tablespoon of the previously mixed filling and place it right in the center of each dumpling wrapper.
6. Then fold the wrapper into a half-moon shape and firmly press the edges together so that no air gets in.
7. Heat a pan over high heat, add oil, and once the oil is hot, add the half-moon shaped dumplings and fry them. After one minute, add water, shake the pan slightly, and then cover it with a lid.
8. After about 5 to 6 minutes, the water will have dried up and the fried dumplings will become crispy and turn golden brown. (If the pan is small and you can't fry all the dumplings in one batch, divide them into two or three batches.)
9. Turn off the heat and transfer to a serving plate.
Now your crispy hot half-moon shaped fried shrimp dumplings are ready, and you can enjoy them deliciously with your favorite dipping sauce.
