For those who want to enjoy a spicy potato fry, I'd like to share a recipe for Indian-style potato fry mixed with chili peppers.
Ingredients
- 2 potatoes
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 onion (thinly sliced)
- 3 cloves garlic (thinly sliced)
- 1 tablespoon thinly sliced ginger
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon masala powder
- 1 red chili pepper and 1 green chili pepper
Step-by-step cooking instructions
First heat up the pot, add oil, then add the onion, garlic, and ginger, and fry for about 5 minutes.
Add the salt, turmeric powder, chili powder, and masala, and stir for another minute. If the fried mixture becomes too dry, you can add a little more water.
Peel the potatoes, wash them, and cut them into medium-sized pieces. Cut the chili peppers into pieces similar in size to the potatoes as well.
Then add the potatoes and chili peppers into the pot and mix well with the spices until evenly coated. Then reduce the heat, cover the pot with a lid, and let it cook for about 20 minutes.
Once the potatoes have become soft and tender, remove from the stove, transfer to a plate, and enjoy it deliciously either paired with rice or as a snack to satisfy hunger.
