Hello Foodies! This time, instead of frying potatoes the regular way, I want to share a method where you just pop them in the oven and they'll come out ready to eat. It's a simple, easy method that doesn't require you to stand over a stove and fry them yourself.
Ingredients
- 8 medium-sized potatoes
- About 1½ teaspoons chili powder
- About 1½ teaspoons cumin powder
- About 1½ teaspoons paprika (for color)
- 2 eggs (only the egg whites needed)
- About 1½ teaspoons salt
- A little ground black pepper
- A little vegetable oil
Step-by-step Instructions
First, peel the potatoes and wash them clean under running water. Then preheat the oven to 430°F (220°C).
Next, cut the potatoes into medium-thick wedges and place them in a large pot.
Beat the 2 egg whites vigorously.
Next, mix together the chili powder, cumin powder, paprika, ground black pepper, and salt.
Pour the beaten egg whites into the pot of potatoes.
Then add the mixed spice powders into the pot and toss to coat the potatoes well. At the same time, brush a little oil onto the baking tray you'll use for the oven, then spread the potato wedges out evenly on the tray.
As the final step, place the tray in the preheated oven for about 40 minutes. That's it — without having to fry anything yourself, you'll get delicious, spicy potato wedges.
