Vegetarians often have to choose from a limited selection of foods, which can sometimes lead to health imbalances or inadequate nutrition. However, it is still possible to eat a nutritionally balanced vegetarian diet even without meat.
This time, we're sharing a recipe that's perfect for vegetarians — a nutritious and healthy stir-fried dish made with broccoli and carrots.
Ingredients
- 1/2 teaspoon oyster sauce
- 1 liter water
- About 8 cloves garlic
- A small amount of ginger
- 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 500 grams broccoli
- A small amount of salt
Step-by-step instructions
1. Wash the broccoli and cut it into medium-sized pieces. Slice the carrots thinly as well. Also slice the garlic and ginger thinly.
2. Bring the water to a rolling boil. Once boiling, add the broccoli and let it cook for about 1 minute. After 1 minute, drain the broccoli pieces.
3. Heat a pot and add oil. Don't add all the garlic at once — add about three-quarters of it first and let it release its aroma in the oil. Add the broccoli and carrots and stir-fry. Add 1 tablespoon of water. Stir-fry for about 2 minutes.
4. Add the remaining garlic, along with the oyster sauce and salt, then taste and adjust for a mild, slightly salty flavor.
After tasting and adjusting the seasoning to a mild, slightly salty level, remove from the stove and transfer to a serving plate.
Now you can enjoy this delicious stir-fried broccoli and carrot dish, perfect for vegetarians.
