Hello everyone. Among the many vegetables that help protect against disease, this time we're going to make spicy fried water spinach with chili peppers.
Ingredients
- Oil - 4 tablespoons
- Shallots - 4 bulbs (crushed with the flat side of a knife and thinly sliced)
- Dried chili pods - about a handful (seeds removed and thinly sliced)
- Water spinach - 2 bunches (washed and cut into about 1 cm lengths)
- Sugar - 1 1/2 teaspoons
- Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - a pinch
Step-by-step instructions
1. Heat a pot and add 4 tablespoons of oil. Once the oil is hot, add the garlic and chili peppers and sauté for about 1 minute.
2. After one minute, add the thinly sliced water spinach. Add the sugar, sesame oil, and salt, then stir-fry evenly.
3. After that, cover the pot with a lid and let it sit for about 45 seconds to 1 minute.
5. Once the time is up, open the lid and give it one more final stir-fry.
Once done, transfer it to a plate and it's ready to serve.
And there you have it - a vibrant green, fresh, and delicious stir-fried water spinach dish.
