Hello everyone! This time, the recipe I'd like to share is Fried Fish Braised with Chayote.

Ingredients

  • 350 grams of fish
  • 2 tablespoons of corn flour
  • 200 grams of chayote (thinly sliced)
  • 50 milliliters of hot water
  • 20 grams of ginger (thinly sliced)

  • 40 grams of spring onion (thinly sliced)
  • 1 shallot (thinly sliced)
  • 10 grams of soybean paste
  • 10 grams of garlic (thinly sliced)
  • 3 green chilies

  • 1 tablespoon of sesame oil
  • Half a tablespoon of light soy sauce and 1 tablespoon of dark soy sauce
  • Half a teaspoon of sugar and half a teaspoon of salt

Step-by-step instructions

1. After washing the fish, cut it into large chunks. Marinate with salt and ground pepper.

2. In a small bowl, mix together sesame oil, light soy sauce, dark soy sauce, sugar, and salt until well combined.

3. Pour water into a pot, add a little salt, and bring it to a boil.

Once the water is boiling, add the chayote and boil for about 1 minute. Then take out the boiled chayote.

4. Coat the fish with corn flour again, mixing well.

5. Heat oil in a pot, and once the oil is hot, add the fish and fry it. Fry until the fish turns golden brown, then remove it.

6. Add a little more oil to the pot, then add the garlic and stir-fry to release the aroma. Add the shallots, ginger, and chilies, and mix well. Lastly, add the soybean paste and stir well again.

7. Then add the chayote and fry for about 2 minutes. Pour in the mixed soy sauce and stir well.

8. Then add a little more hot water. Add the fried fish and stir-fry for about 1 minute.

Once everything is done, you'll have a delicious dish of Fried Fish Braised with Chayote.
