For those who love seafood shrimp dishes, this time I want to share a recipe for sweet and sour shrimp cooked with broccoli.
Ingredients
- Tomato Ketchup 3 tablespoons
- Fish sauce 3 tablespoons
- Sugar 4 teaspoons
- Chili sauce 1 tablespoon
- Cornstarch 2 tablespoons
- Rice vinegar 2 tablespoons
- Chicken stock 16 tablespoons
- Vegetable oil 3 tablespoons
- 1 bunch spring onions (thinly sliced, separate the white and green parts)
- Finely sliced ginger 2 tablespoons
- Garlic 3 cloves (finely sliced)
- Large shrimp about 2 pounds (peeled)
- 1 head broccoli (cut into medium-sized pieces)
Step-by-step Instructions
1. In a small bowl, mix together Ketchup, fish sauce, sugar, chili sauce, cornstarch, and rice vinegar until well combined. Then add the chicken stock and stir again until well mixed.
2. Heat a pot and add oil. Once the oil is hot, add the spring onion (white part), ginger, and garlic, and stir-fry for about 2 minutes.
3. Then add the shrimp and stir for another 2 minutes.
4. Then pour in the sauce mixture prepared in step (1). Add the broccoli and stir until well combined.
Once done, stir-fry for about 3 minutes until the sauce thickens.
Taste the seasoning for a light saltiness, and add a little salt if needed.
Sprinkle the remaining spring onion (green part) over the dish just before taking it off the stove.
Now you have a delicious bowl of sweet and sour shrimp with broccoli.
