Thai-style fried banana is a popular dessert in Thailand. Let's take a look at how to easily make this dessert at home instead of paying a high price for it at a Thai restaurant.
Ingredients
- About 1 viss of bananas (you can choose your preferred variety)
- 8 tablespoons of rice flour
- About half a teaspoon of baking soda
- 4 tablespoons of sugar
- 4 tablespoons of grated coconut
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- About half a small bowl of water
- A little oil
Step-by-step preparation method
Peel the bananas and cut them into pieces about one inch thick.
In a large bowl, combine the rice flour, baking soda, sugar, salt, and grated coconut. Add water little by little and mix well until smooth. Once mixed, dip the banana pieces into the batter so that the batter coats them well.
Next, heat the frying pot and add oil. Once the oil is hot, add the batter-coated banana pieces and fry them. When the banana pieces turn golden brown, place them on paper towels to absorb the excess oil.
After a few minutes, transfer them to a plate, sprinkle a little grated coconut on top, and decorate as you like.
So, you can enjoy this as a dessert after a meal, and it's also perfect to serve as a dessert when guests come to visit.
