Even though all the dishes are already cooked and prepared, there's no more time left to make a soup. If you're already a bit tired from cooking, and you don't want to spend much more time or effort, and you want the steps to be easy, then just make this tofu and mustard green soup.

Ingredients

  • 1 block of tofu
  • 250 grams mustard greens
  • 1 teaspoon salt and half a tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 thumb-sized piece of ginger (thinly sliced into strips)
  • 2.5 liters of water

Step-by-step instructions

1. Cut the tofu into fairly large chunks. Cut the mustard greens into medium-sized pieces as well.

2. In a large pot, add the tofu, ginger, and 2.5 liters of water, and bring to a boil.

3. Once it comes to a rolling boil, add the mustard greens and half a tablespoon of sesame oil. Then let it simmer for about 1 minute. After that, add salt and taste to check the seasoning is mild and not too salty.

And there you have it — a delicious tofu and mustard green soup. You can dip the tofu pieces in your favorite dipping sauce for extra flavor.

If you want to make the most suitable dipping sauce to go with this soup, heat up a pan and add whole chilies. Once the chilies turn brown, pound them in a mortar with a little salt.

Transfer the pounded chili into a bowl, then mix thoroughly with finely chopped garlic, finely chopped spring onion (white part only), and hot oil until well combined.

This chili dipping sauce goes extremely well when eaten with the tofu.
