Greetings everyone! For those who want to combine the flavors of two foods to create a delicious dish, this time I'd like to share a recipe for stir-fried tofu with sliced pork.
Ingredients
- 1 block tofu
- 1 bunch spring onion (cut into about 2 cm pieces)
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 clove garlic (thinly sliced)
- 1 inch-diameter piece of ginger (thinly sliced)
- 125 grams pork (thinly sliced)
- 2 teaspoons light soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons water (or pork broth)
- A little salt and black pepper powder
- 1½ tablespoons cooking wine and 1 teaspoon cornstarch
Step-by-step instructions
1. Cut the tofu into small cubes and soak them in salted water for about 10 minutes. After 10 minutes, scoop out the tofu cubes and rinse them again with water.
2. In a bowl, mix the thinly sliced pork well with 1 teaspoon salt, a little black pepper powder, half a tablespoon of cooking wine, and 1 teaspoon of cornstarch until evenly combined.
3. Heat a pot/wok and add oil. Once the oil is hot, add the tofu and fry for about 5 to 10 minutes. The tofu should be fried over low heat. While frying the tofu, keep turning it over continuously, back and forth.
4. Once the tofu turns golden brown, remove it into a bowl. In the remaining oil in the pot, add the garlic and ginger and sauté until fragrant.
5. Next, add the thinly sliced pork and fry until its raw color disappears.
6. Next, add the tofu, a little salt, soy sauce, and water, and let it simmer for about 5 minutes until it comes to a boil. Just before removing from the heat, add the spring onion and stir briefly.
Once all these steps are complete, you'll have a delicious stir-fried tofu with sliced pork. Enjoy it deliciously together with rice.
