Hello everyone! When the weather is hot, eating rice can become unappetizing. If you lose your appetite and stop eating altogether, it can also affect your health.

So, I'd like to introduce a dish that will bring back your appetite when eating rice. This is none other than tomato ngapi (fermented fish paste dip).

Ingredients

  • Tomatoes – 3
  • Shallot (peeled) – 1
  • Green chili (halved) – 1
  • Garlic – 1 bulb
  • Fish sauce, coriander leaves

Preparation Method

1. Heat a pot over medium heat and add the tomatoes to cook.

2. Stir for about 12 minutes, and once they become soft, add the shallot, chili, and garlic, then continue stirring and cooking for another 8 minutes.

3. Remove from the stove and let it cool for a while.

4. Once cooled, put it into a grinder and grind thoroughly until smooth. Season with fish sauce and salt to taste, then garnish with coriander leaves.
