You might find it strange to wonder how to fry an "omelette" without eggs. This recipe uses other ingredients in place of eggs, making it a tomato Omelette that even vegans can enjoy eating.

Ingredients

  • Wheat flour 120 grams
  • 2 tomatoes (finely chopped)
  • 1 onion (finely chopped)
  • A small piece of ginger (finely chopped)
  • 1 green chili (finely chopped)

  • A handful of coriander leaves (finely chopped)
  • A little chili powder
  • A little masala and a little turmeric powder
  • 250 ml water
  • A little salt and oil

Step-by-step instructions

1. In a large bowl, add the wheat flour, garlic, tomatoes, ginger, coriander leaves, chili, turmeric powder, chili powder, masala, and salt. Add about 125 ml of water and mix well until smooth. Add the remaining water and mix again.

(If the batter is too runny, you can add a little more wheat flour, and if the batter is too thick, you can add more water.)

2. Heat a pan and add 1 tablespoon of oil. Once the pan is hot, lower the heat to the lowest setting and pour in the batter.

3. Gently spread the batter into a circular shape using a spoon, then press down lightly from the top with the spoon. Alternatively, you can rotate the pan slightly by its handle.

4. Next, pour a little oil around the edges and on top of the batter and fry. Once the bottom turns golden brown, flip it over to the other side and continue frying.

5. Once all the batter has been fried, you will have a delicious tomato Omelette.

Since it's fried without eggs, vegans can also enjoy eating it.
