Hello everyone. This time, the dish I want to share is spicy tteokbokki, a beloved favorite among Korean people.

Ingredients

  • Korean rice cakes (tteokbokki sticks) 400 grams
  • Fish cake sticks 150 grams
  • Water 500 milliliters
  • Chili paste 4 tablespoons
  • Sugar 1 tablespoon
  • Eggs 2 (boiled, peeled, and halved)
  • Spring onion 1 stalk (cut into 3-inch lengths)

Step-by-step preparation

1. Cut the fish cake sticks into 1 centimeter lengths. Cut the spring onion into 3-inch lengths.

2. Heat a pot and add 2 tablespoons of chili paste, a little chili powder, 1 tablespoon of sugar, and 500 milliliters of water, then let it come to a boil.

3. As soon as it boils, add the rice cakes and fish cake sticks and cook for about 15 minutes. You'll need to stir frequently with a spoon so the tteokbokki sticks and fish cake pieces don't stick to the pot.

4. Once the tteokbokki sauce has thickened and the rice cakes have become soft, you can remove it from the stove. Then add the spring onion and boiled eggs, and it's ready to enjoy deliciously.
