Hello everyone! For those who love fried pork ribs, this time I'd like to share a recipe for Vietnamese-style fried pork ribs.
Ingredients
- Pork ribs - 2 pounds
- Salt - 2 tablespoons
- Sugar - 1 tablespoon
- Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
- Ground pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Baking soda - 1 teaspoon
- Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons
- Water - 4 tablespoons
- Spring onion - 1 stalk (thinly sliced)
Step-by-step instructions
1. Cut the pork ribs into appropriately sized pieces, then rub them with 1 tablespoon of salt. After that, rinse them again with cold water. Once done, pat them dry.
2. Put the pork ribs into a mixing bowl. Then add the remaining salt, sugar, garlic powder, ground pepper, and baking soda, and mix well until evenly combined. After that, let it marinate for about 30 minutes.
3. Heat a pot/pan and add the vegetable oil. Once the oil is hot, add the pork ribs and fry for about 4 to 6 minutes.
4. After that, add about 4 tablespoons of water, cover the pot with a lid, and let it cook for about 5 to 7 minutes.
5. Once the time is up, check whether the pork ribs are tender. If they're not tender enough yet, you can add a little more water.
Just before taking it off the heat, sprinkle the sliced spring onion on top.
And there you have it — delicious Vietnamese-style fried pork ribs, ready to serve.
