Hello everyone! This time, the traditional dish I want to share is a Vietnamese-style pan-fried pork chop dish.

Ingredients

  • 4 pork chops
  • 2 stalks of lemongrass
  • 2 tablespoons fish sauce
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon vinegar

  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • A little salt and ground pepper
  • 1 clove garlic (finely minced)
  • 4 tablespoons oil for frying

Step-by-step instructions

1. Slice the lemongrass thinly, then put it into a large bowl. Add the fish sauce, soy sauce, vinegar, sugar, salt, ground pepper, and garlic, and mix well until combined. Add 1 tablespoon of water and mix again.

2. Pour the sauce you mixed earlier over the pork chops, seal tightly in a plastic bag, and refrigerate for about 30 minutes.

3. Heat a pan and add oil. Once the oil is hot, add the pork chops and fry them. (If the pan is small, fry the pork chops in batches.)

4. After frying for about 4 minutes, one side of the pork should turn golden brown. Flip it over and fry the other side for another 4 minutes. Once all the pork has turned golden brown, pour in the marinade sauce you prepared earlier and lower the heat.

5. Once the sauce has thickened, you can take the pot off the stove.

And there you have it - your Vietnamese-style pan-fried pork chops are ready. Enjoy it deliciously with rice.
