How I ended up at Plant House Cafe'...

When you haven't met your BFF in a while, and you're both book lovers with the same hobby, you'd want to meet somewhere you can read together too, somewhere with good food that's a must, and you'd want some coffee as well.

While meeting up, we wanted to completely disconnect from the world and have our own little universe, just the two of us. The two of us, both huge fans of reading, racked our brains thinking about which cafe to go on this "date" to.

And that's when we found it. A famous cafe on Facebook called The Plant House Cafe'.

Full of a wide variety of books. Lush green saplings, and the coffee is supposed to be good too. You can read the books for free, and you can also buy them. So what more could you want? It was perfect for the two of us.

Cafe's Exterior

As soon as we walked into the cafe, with the lush green saplings and oldies music playing, my mind felt at peace. The cafe is extremely cozy, and although the decor isn't super fancy, it's the kind of place that bookworms would fall in love with. For the two of us, the little bookshelf was what drew us in. The seating areas are also really lovely, and the way the spaces are arranged makes it comfortable to sit for long periods reading and relaxing peacefully.

The "Go Local" Slogan and What Makes It Unique

As soon as you step into the cafe, there's one more unique thing you'll notice. With the slogan "Go Local", they also sell Myanmar-made food items and gifts, so this one place really has everything, don't you think?

Food

The food and coffee at this cafe start from around 800 kyats, and the menu is quite varied. They serve plain hot water as a welcome drink, which was a nice surprise. The Maymyo pound coffee was my favorite. There's also bread, rice salad, cake, and other variety, plus there are special dishes that you can only get at Plant House Cafe'. The prices are really reasonable too. Interestingly, they have a unique Shan-style stuffed gourd dish that's absolutely amazing.

Time to Take Some Friendship Goal Photos

After eating, drinking, and getting halfway through our books, we got a bit tired of sitting so we took some "Friendship Goal" photos. We took pictures all around the cafe for various posts. The photos amid the lush green trees, the romantic decor, the neat bookshelf, and the super cozy spaces turned out to be truly memorable.

One thing though, the cafe is a bit cramped. Sometimes it gets crowded, so you'll need to go early and grab a spot.

That day was truly paradise for two best friends. Since then, I've also gone back on my own many times to read peacefully and relax, and it's been so convenient that I end up going there often on my days off.

So... readers, wouldn't you like to create memories like this with your best friend too?

The cafe's address is... No-33, Nyaung Tone Street, San Chaung Township
