Greetings everyone. This time, I'd like to share a little Myanmar cake recipe. Since the ingredients are easy to find and buy, and the steps to make it are also simple, I hope every homemaker will like it.

Ingredients

  • 8 bananas
  • About 240 ml semolina (shwe kyi) flour
  • About 240 ml wheat flour
  • About 250 ml sugar
  • About 400 ml coconut milk

  • About 240 ml grated coconut flesh
  • About half a teaspoon of salt
  • 8 tablespoons of butter
  • A little poppy seed

Step-by-step instructions

Mash the bananas with a fork. Put the grated coconut flesh, butter, and coconut milk into a food processor/blender and blend them together.

Next, mix the resulting coconut cream with the mashed bananas and put it into a large bowl. Add the sugar, salt, wheat flour, and semolina (shwe kyi) flour as well, and mix thoroughly until well combined.

As the next step, grease the baking pan you'll use for baking the cake with oil, then pour the thoroughly mixed banana-coconut cream mixture onto the pan. Sprinkle poppy seeds over the surface of the banana custard. Then bake it in the oven at 175 degrees Celsius (350 degrees Fahrenheit) for about 2 hours.

Once the time is up, let it cool down, then cut it into pieces as you like, and you can serve it as a dessert.
